After a hot summer the Toowoomba region is experiencing more frequent cool nights and pleasant days, perfect for the upcoming country show season, food festivals and arts activities. Kiambram Country Cottages Eco Farmstay is central to the grand Heritage Bank Toowoomba Royal Show and the small country town Oakey show. We are no more than 25 minutes to Goombungee, Hampton and down town Toowoomba.
Exhibiting until February 27th at Rosalie Gallery, Goombungee is "A man's version of a doll's house" (early Australian rural life) by model maker Rob Prentice.
Summer Tunes live music at Goombungee War Memorial park Sunday 28th.
Emerging artist Kerrie Thorne will also exhibit "Finding My Way" at Rosalie during most of March with a meet and greet on Saturday March 6th.
Like older art? Slip into the Toowoomba Regional Gallery for paintings from the Lindsay Collection mid Feb to mid March.
Scheduled for Saturday March 13th Oakey Show will this year host the "smOking the dOwns" competition - smells good!
April 16th to 18th will see the 157th Toowoomba Royal with high level competition, sideshow action and entertainment aplenty. A great family outing to end the school holidays!

Scrumptious local food along this trail too!
